DESCRIPTION
The ETA3448 is a high eficienc,n DC-to-DC step-down swithing
regulator, capable of delivering up to 3A of output crrent. The devices
operate fom aninput vlage range of 25V to 5.5V and povide output
voltages from 0.6V to VIN, making the ETA3448 ideal for low voltage
power conversions. ETA3448 adopts an Adaptive COT control scheme
that enables very fast transient response and provides d very smooth
transtin when the output varies from light load to heavyload.
The adaptive COT control als mantains aconstant switching frequency
across line and load. Running at a fixed frequency of 2MHz alws the
use of small inductance value and low DCRinductors, thereby achieving
higher eficiencies. Other external components, such as ceramic input
and output caps, can also be small due to higher swithing frequency,
while maintaining exceptional low noise output voltages. Internal soft-
start control ircuity reduces irush urrent. Short-circuit and thermal-
overload potection improves design rilbilit
